Monthly Wrap-Up: May 2018

Monthly Wrap-Up: May 2018

This month started with me returning to work after a short break and I really struggled to get back into the swing of things. June is always a busy month at work but for some reason, I felt like I didn’t have my normal patience and calmness. I mentioned the challenges I face with balancing book blogging with my work in this book blogger hop post. I’ve been feeling very tired and run down lately. My toddler was ill a couple of times so she woke a lot in the night. At the beginning of the month, I caught a mystery virus […]

Monthly Wrap-Up: May 2018

Monthly Wrap-Up: May 2018

May was another busy month for me, particularly at work where student GCSE exams are well underway and many reports are due. But I’ve had lots of fun times at the weekends where I’ve been able to let my hair down a little. We took our daughter around the fair, went out for a meal with friends, attended a baby shower and visited a wildlife park. This week, we’ve been off work for half term so we went to the cinema, had a BBQ for my little step-brother’s birthday and dressed up for a 1940s dance.   Blogging May was […]

Monthly Wrap-Up: April 2018

Monthly Wrap-Up: April 2018

It’s starting to feel like summer here in the UK. It’s bank holiday weekend, the sun is shining and the funfair has come to my local town. I’ve been enjoying plenty of ice lollies and barbecue food. I hope you’re having a great weekend too. Now it’s time to look back at what I achieved in April. It was a really busy month for me socially. I attended a cocktail masterclass, went on holiday to Centerparcs, was a bridesmaid at my Dad’s wedding and celebrated my Grandma’s 80th birthday with a surprise party. I’m surprised I managed to find any […]

Monthly Wrap-Up: March 2018

Monthly Wrap-Up: March 2018

This post is going up nearly a week later than planned, but oh well! I hope you all had a happy Easter? My little one had chicken pox so our plans for a reunion meal with extended family had to be cancelled, but we still had a nice time visiting the in-laws.  I’m currently on holiday from work and I’m enjoying relaxing and spending quality time with my family. Work has been pretty stressful lately and I also had lots on socially in March, including several family birthdays, mothers day and a hen party. April promises to be even more […]

Monthly Wrap-Up: February 2018

Monthly Wrap-Up: February 2018

Welcome to my monthly wrap-up post for February, a time when I reflect on the month that has just passed, review what I’ve achieved and set my goals for next month.  February flew by as usual and I feel like I achieved next to nothing!. I had one week off work and I had great plans to fill it with lots of blogging, reading, writing, quality time with my husband and fun family activities. Unfortunately, my little girl was ill and very miserable all week so all of our plans went out of the window and although I enjoyed all our cuddles […]

Monthly Wrap-Up: January 2018

Monthly Wrap-Up: January 2018

Welcome to my monthly wrap-up post for January 2018, a time when I reflect on the month that has just passed, review what I’ve achieved and set my goals for next month.  January has been a busy month for me as I have made a lot of changes to the blog, including a name change, layout re-design and, of course, the switch to WordPress. I wanted to start the year as I meant to go on, dedicating much more time to the creative hobbies I enjoy. After a long time of feeling blocked, I’ve been inspired to start writing again and I […]

Monthly Wrap-Up August 2014

Monthly Wrap-Up August 2014

I normally forget to do these monthly wrap-up posts, but I thought I’d better get into the habit again. I’m on a bit of a blogging roll recently and hopefully the momentum will last. Monthly wrap-up is an opportunity to reflect on the month that’s just passed and what I’ve achieved and review my goal’s for next month. August really flew by because I was off work-it only seemed to last about a week! But never mind, I still managed to get a few things done in that time. Reading On holiday in Tenerife I read the following non-fiction books: […]

November Wrap-Up

November Wrap-Up

It’s that time of the month again (no, not that time), the time when I reflect on the month that’s just passed and review my goals and what I’ve achieved. I’m not a great fan of November due to the increasing cold and dark weather, so normally I don’t do much except hibernate in bed with the electric blanket on and drink huge amounts of hot chocolate (except when I’m at work, they don’t let me do that there). ReadingThis month I’ve read Shiver by Maggie Steifvater, Crewel by Gennifer Albin and Every Dead Thing by John Conolly. That’s a […]
