Poetry Rivals 2010 Published!

I was very excited this morning when the postman delivered a mysterious parcel…I opened it up and discovered two text-book sized copies of Poetry Rivals 2010: A New Dawn Breaks, the anthology featuring my poem, ‘Tess and the Priceless Treasure‘. It was so good seeing my name and poem printed in an actual book that I took photos to commemorate this momentous occasion. I haven’t had a chance to read through it all yet., but there are tons of poems in there by talented aspiring poets, so it’s well worth a read. If you’d like to buy a copy, it […]

NaNoWriMo: Day 3

NaNoWriMo: Day 3

So it’s the end of the third day of Nano, and surprisingly I am still on track despite being very busy. I got back from work at 5:30 pm, did some jobs and replied to emails until about 7:30 when my partner came home and we talked about his day and got dinner. I didn’t start writing until 8pm, and I wrote 2395 words in a couple of hours. I’m calling it a night now though, as I don’t want to burn myself out too early. My total word count is now at 7403, so I’m about one and a […]

It feels good to know that I have some extra words in the bank. And my Nano report card tells me if I continue at the same rate I’ll be finished […]

Novel Writing Software

Here are some links to novel writing software programs that you may find useful. I’ve tried to collect a lot of free ones too! I personally use NewNovelist, which is pretty good. When it is released for windows in early 2010 I will be buying Scrivener, because the virtual corkboard looks incredible, and hopefully if I win NaNoWriMo this year I will get my hands on a half price copy. ywriter2-freeFree Mindmapping Tool-free Storybook-freeStoryRight-freeTextBlockWriter-freePortable Writing Software-freeWriting Toold for ipadBest Software Programs for WritersFree Creative Writing SoftwareFree Software for WritersScrivenerNewNovelist
