Theatre Review: Everybody’s Talking About Jamie #JamieLondon

Theatre Review: Everybody’s Talking About Jamie #JamieLondon

Last week, I was lucky enough to be able to attend a live screening of the west end show Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, streamed directly to my local cinema from the Apollo Theatre in London. A young woman who used to go to our dance school (Courtney Bowman) is performing in it, so a group of us went along to see her. I really loved it and wanted to share my thoughts as I feel this show deserves a lot more attention!   The Story Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is a musical based on the life of Jamie […]

Book Blogger Hop: Balancing Blogging with Work

Today I’m taking part in the Book Blogger Hop, a weekly hop hosted by Billy B at Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer (originally created by Jennifer at  Crazy-For-Books). You can see the hop schedule here.   “Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.” This week’s question: For all of you worker bees out there! For more information, please read the full disclosure.   Last night we went to a 1940s dance at Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre. It’s the largest bomber command museum in England and the only place in the country you can see a Lancaster Bomber on an original wartime airfield.     We’ve been to the dance a few times before and always enjoy it. There is a live big band and everyone dresses up […]

I’m Back! What Happened on Hiatus?

I’m Back! What Happened on Hiatus?

After a super long hiatus, I’m finally returning to blogging! My absence has largely been due to my maternity leave ending in September last year and finding it hard to juggle hobbies like blogging and reading alongside the demands of full-time work and looking after my daughter. I have really missed sharing my book reviews and artwork on Creative Therapy and engaging with my book blogging family. The time now feels right to get back into regular posting again, so stay tuned for the announcement of a new blogging schedule! So, what have I been up to all these months? […]

#atozchallenge Z is for Getting Some Zzz’s

Today is the final day of the A-Z Blogging Challenge! The aim is to write a post for every day of the month except for Sundays, with each post representing a different letter of the alphabet. This year, since I’ve just become a mum for the first time, my theme is: ‘an A-Z of Newborn Care’. I’ll be talking about all the highs and lows of parenting, sharing things that have been useful for me and posting some cute pictures. For the letter ‘Z’ I have chosen to talk about Getting Some Zzz’s, in other words, getting some sleep. Looking after a newborn […]
