2019 Reading List & Challenges

2019 Reading List & Challenges

I’m so addicted to reading challenges, even though I don’t always complete them. I decided to keep a list of all the challenges I’ve signed up for this year in one post, for easier tracking. The books I plan to read to complete all these challenges can be found on my Goodreads 2019 TBR list. Beat the Backlist I have a huge TBR pile, so this challenge is perfect for me. Any book published in 2018 or earlier (any genre, format, length, etc.) counts towards this challenge, and you can set your own goal for how many you would like […]

Book Blogger Hop & On my Wishlist-January 2019

Book Blogger Hop & On my Wishlist-January 2019

Welcome to my monthly wishlist update, based on the weekly meme that was hosted by Cosy Books. Every month, I’ll share a list of the books I desperately want to get my hands on but haven’t actually bought yet. They can be new, old, or yet to be released. I’m also taking part in the Book Blogger Hop, a weekly hop hosted by Billy B at Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer (originally created by Jennifer at  Crazy-For-Books). You can see the hop schedule here. This week’s question, submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews, is: “Any books you are looking forward to for 2019?” Books […]

Annual Wrap-Up 2018

Annual Wrap-Up 2018

Happy New Year everyone! I’m going into 2019 with a positive attitude after a really fantastic year. 2018 went quickly, but it was kind to me and I made a lot of wonderful memories. We celebrated lots of family events such as my Grandma’s 80th birthday and my Dad and his wife’s wedding. We also went on three fantastic UK holidays (Centerparcs, Hunstanton and Great Yarmouth). My daughter has just turned three and she has grown up so much this year. It’s a delight to see her growing and changing but the time is going way to fast! Last year […]

#TopTenTuesday: Libraries I’d Love to Visit

#TopTenTuesday: Libraries I’d Love to Visit

It’s time for Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme originally created by The Broke and the Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Every week there is a new topic or theme to base your top ten list on. You can find more details about it and see the list of topics here. I love this week’s topic! I mean, who doesn’t love a good library? I’ve seen some stunning pictures of minimalist, modern libraries on Pinterest, but I have to say I prefer the gaudy, traditional libraries with gorgeous Baroque architecture. I imagine they would smell deliciously […]
