About the Blog

Dusting the Soul (formerly named Creative Therapy) was started on 6th March 2009 by Tizzy Brown. It began as a place to share opinions, poetry and artwork. It’s since evolved into a book blog that focuses on YA Fantasy, Sci-fi and Dystopian fiction. Here you will find book reviews, blog tours, cover reveals, giveaways, guest posts, author interviews and various book memes.
My secondary topic is creative writing, so I like to share some of my work and participate in events such as the A-Z challenge and NaNoWriMo. The blog also features a range of other topics such as arts and crafts, baking, philosophy, mental health, travel and lifestyle. I blog about anything I think my readers will find interesting.
I really appreciate all my followers and those that take the time to comment on my posts. I always make an effort to reply and follow back. Please join in by commenting on discussion posts-I really like to hear my readers’ opinions.
For authors or publishers who would like to submit a book for review, please read the Review Policy for more information. For any further queries please see the FAQs or contact me.

About the Author

Hi, I’m Anstice “Tizzy” Brown. I live in a rural part of England surrounded by smelly cabbage fields, but I enjoy the terrific company of my husband, 2-year-old daughter and our crazy cat.

Photograph of blogger Tizzy Brown cuddling her daughterBy day I’m a Data Administrator, but by night, when my daughter finally goes to bed, I’m a crime-fighting superhero also a freelance writer, editor and designer. You can find out more about my services here.

In my free time, I’m usually reading, dabbling in creative writing, making something or playing computer games. I’m an avid reader of fantasy, sci-fi and dystopian novels and am writing my first YA science-fiction book. I write under the pen name A V Brown.

I’m a geek/hippie hybrid with a love of all things retro, especially music, TV and films from the 70s and 80s. I sing in the shower, tap dance on any smooth surface and sometimes treat myself to pickled onions on toast. I’m also mad about Harry Potter. What, after all this time? ALWAYS.
