Book Blogger Hop (2) Acting like a book character

Posted 16th February 2018 by Tizzy Brown in Blog Memes, Books / 🗨15 Comments

Book Blogger Hop at www.dustingthesoul.comToday I’m taking part in the Book Blogger Hop, a weekly hop hosted by Billy B at Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer (originally created by Jennifer at  Crazy-For-Books). You can see the hop schedule here.
“Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.”

Question of the Week: Have you ever found yourself acting like a favourite character in a novel? If so, which one?

The character that instantly springs to mind for me is Hermione from Harry Potter. As my sister will attest, I do have a tendency to become a bit of a bossy know-it-all regarding subjects I’m passionate about. I try to reign this in, but sometimes I just can’t help myself. Nobody’s perfect, right?

  1. snape!from harry potter….i don’t know…but I like being mysterious at first but bam! im the good guy!..thanks for this!…it made me think for a while there…hahahah

  2. HERMIONE!!!! YAAAAASSS!!!! I mentioned her in my own post, too!! She’s one of my favorite characters ever!! Not that I act like a know-it-all (at least, I HOPE not!), but I do enjoy doing a LOT of research on my own, like Hermione does. In my case, I’m not trying to desperately find a solution to a magical dilemma, nor do I have any school assignments. It’s just that I LOVE to research topics of personal interest to me.

Now, when I don my Gryffindor robe, and wave my illuminated HG wand around, shouting, “Wingardium Leviosa!”, I do pretty much start to feel that I am, indeed Hermione Granger!! Watch out, Voldemort!! LOL.

Thanks for commenting on my own BBH post!! <3 <3 ::) 🙂 Sorry for the late comment back….. 🙁

  3. A lot of people are answering Hermione! I don’t blame them though. So many of us are very bookish and love to expand our knowledge. As for me, I don’t have any characters that I act like. Which is a bit of a bummer!

    • Yes, Hermione is the stereotypical bookworm so I suppose a lot of us can relate to her. I don’t know if it’s so bad not acting like literary characters, a lot of them act foolishly and make a lot of mistakes.
